I am a research fellow member of Prof James Rowe lab, working on establishing translational neuronal modelling platforms for precision medicine. In particular, I am investigating aetiology of neurodegenerative disorders using dynamic causal modelling of magnetoencephalography (MEG) data, to provide insight into synaptopathy which engender cognitive decline in progressive supranuclear palsy dementia, behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia and Alzheimer disease. We enrich dynamic causal modelling of MEG data by inclusion of synaptic loss information from positron emission topography and neurotransmitter concentrations as measured by magnetic resonance spectroscopy (biomarkers of the disease) to elucidate heterogeneous nature of these brain disorders.
