Welcome!

The Cambridge Centre for Frontotemporal Demetia and Related Disorders led by Professor James B. Rowe is part of the Neurology Unit of the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge.

The main focus of the Centre is clinical and research-related work on several sub-types of dementia such as Frontotemporal Dementia, Corticobasal Degeneration, parkinsonisms with dementia, and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

Our goal is to better understand the underlying characteristics and mechanisms of these diseases in order to find new markers, improve diagnoses, and make way for potential new treatment strategies.

We run several specialized clinics and our excellent team adopts a multi-methods approach to our research and has access to world class facilities.

We collaborate very closely with the regional neuroscience-focused centres based at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

A new short film by Professor Rowe about his journey as a clinician and researcher. Sponsored by AlzheimersResearchUK.
