Dr Annelies Quaegebeur is a neuropathologist and the Research Director of the Cambridge Brain Bank. Her research group studies the molecular substrates of neuroinflammation in tauopathies and alpha-synucleinopathies. In a collaborative effort across the Cambridge Centre for Parkinson Plus, they also use post-mortem brain tissue to validate PET neuroimaging biomarkers for synapses and inflammation in PSP and related disorders.
