My name is Tanatswa Amanda Chikaura and I am currently doing an MPhil in Basic and Translational Neuroscience. My research interests lie primarily in cognitive neuroscience. I am interested in the underlying mechanisms of mental illness, as well as neurodegenerative diseases, paying particular attention to diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment. My MPhil project is using blood markers and focusing on cytokines with the attempt to identify the cognitive decline and neuropsychiatric features within frontotemporal dementia.
